【２０１４年１月２９日】 飯豊連峰 の見える 西会津町 へ（ 磐越西線 ） （ Jan 29, 2014: Nishiaizu Town & Iide Mountain Range ( by Ban-etsu West Line ) , Fukushima Pref. ）
本日は、全国的に晴れたので、飯豊（いいで）連峰 が良く見える 西会津町 を、訪ねました。磐越西線 で 新潟県境 に近い 上野尻（かみのじり）駅 まで行き、そこから隣の 野沢駅 まで歩きました。
Today, since it was clear in most of Japan, I visited Nishiaizu Town from which I might be able to see fine view of Iide Mountain Range. I took a train of JR Ban-etsu West Line to Kaminojiri Station, and then walked to Nozawa Station which was one station behind.

The actual route was shown in the map below. (The route data were from GPS log data. The details of the map can be seen by clicking the map.)
The route data this time was only up to Aizuwakamatsu Station on the return route due to GPS battery exhaustion.
磐越西線 の 上野尻駅 です。新潟県境 まであと１つの駅です。
The above photo shows Kaminojiri Station of Ban-etsu West Line. Beyond the next station will be the border to Niigata Pref.
磐越西線 の上り 快速「あがの」 です。上野尻駅 の近く（新潟寄り）で出会いました。
The above photo shows an inbound rapid service train "Agano". I met with this train near Kaminojiri Station towards Niigata.
磐越西線 の上り普通電車です。上野尻駅 から新潟寄りに１．５ｋｍほど行ったところで撮りました。
The photo shows inbound local train of Ban-etsu West Line. I took the picture about 1.5km walk towards Niigata from Kaminojiri Station.
次に、上野尻駅 から隣の 野沢駅 まで、阿賀川 に沿い、国道４９号 を歩く途中の光景を紹介します。
Next, I walked on the National Route 49 from Kaminojiri Station to the adjacent Nozawa Station along Aga River. Views on the way are shown below.
飯豊連峰 です。中心の 飯豊山 は、福島・新潟・山形県境にある２１０５ｍの山で、上野尻 からの登山口もあります。
The above picture shows Iide Mountain Range. The main Mt. Iidesan was 2105m high and Fukushima, Niigata, and Yamagata Pref. shared the border. One of trail root started from Kaminojiri.
飯豊連峰 と 阿賀川 です。（写真の電線がじゃまです。）

磐越西線 の上り普通電車です。
The above photo shows another inbound local train of Ban-etsu West Line.
野沢駅 の近く、国道４９号 沿いに、道の駅「 にしあいづ 」があります。中では、会津の物産を幅広く販売していました。
"Nishiaizu" Road Station was located along the National Route 49 close to JR Nozawa Station. All kinds of Aizu products were in sale inside the station.
西会津町 の中心にある、ＪＲ野沢駅 です。バックに 飯豊連峰 が間近に良く見えます。（電柱がじゃまです。）
JR Nozawa Station was located in the center of Nishiaizu Town. Background of the station in the above photo was the Iide Mountain Range which looked very close. I wish there were no utility poles.
駅中には、西会津町物産展示場 があります。
Inside the station I found a display corner for handcraft products of Nishiaizu Town.
野沢駅 の構内では、ラッセル車 も待機中です。
I also found a Russell snowplow waiting for work in the yard of Nozawa Station.
