Today I participated in a day-tour starting from Koriyama stopping at some places of the best autumn foliage in the southern part of Fukushima and back. A photo above was a scene at Kannon-numa Pond. The pond is located at about 900 meters above sea level. Walking route of about 3km is made around the lake. The route is mostly flat, however going to and from the edge of the pond you need to walk up-and-down. The bus also stopped at some other places such as the new Yukiwari Bridge, To-no-Hetsuri, and Ouchi-juku. Some of the photos taken today are shown in the followings.
本日は、郡山発着の日帰りバスツアー（孫の手）で県南の紅葉散策をしました。写真は、観音沼の1シーンです。観音沼は、標高約900mにあり周囲約3kmの散策路があります。ほぼ平坦ですが、沼の縁まで行くには多少アップダウンがあります。バスは、郡山出発後新雪割橋、観音沼、塔のへつり、大内宿の順に行きました。以下、本日の写真です。

観音沼での写真です。
There is a Kannon (the God of Mercy) building adjacent to the pond as shown above. It is called Dake-Kannon-do. The origin was established in the late 1600’s.
写真の観音堂は、沼の脇に建っており岳観音堂と言います。1600年代後期に最初のものができました。（現在のものは、1892年再建です。）

This was a view at To-no-Hetsuri today. The river in the bottom is the middle stream of the Aga River.
写真は、本日の塔のへつりです。底の川は、阿賀川の中流です。
This was a view of the new Yukiwari Bridge today. The old bridge was replaced with the new one last year due to the aging problem. Autumn foliage here will be some days ahead.
写真は、本日の新雪割橋です。古い橋の老朽化に伴い、去年5月に開通しました。紅葉は、まだ先のようでした。
