（#Lake Hibara cruise, Urabandai, June 20, 2023. #檜原湖遊覧 裏磐梯 6/20/2023）
I had a few-day family trip to Urabandai. In the first day, as the weather was calm and fine, we enjoyed Lake Hibara cruise watching the huge northern crater of Mt. Bandai. Photo above was a view of the mountain from the lake. This northern crater was created by a massive phreatic explosion in 1888 when Lake Hibara was also created at the same time. The cruise departs from the southern port of the lake and takes about 40 minutes.
家族で裏磐梯に行きました。初日は天気が穏やかだったので、檜原湖遊覧で裏磐梯の巨大な爆裂火口を見ました。写真はその景色です。この爆裂火口は、1888年の巨大な水蒸気爆発で出来ましたが同時に檜原湖も出来ました。遊覧船は、檜原湖南端の港から出発し約40分ほどです。

（#Aonuma, Goshikinuma, June 21, 2023. #青沼 五色沼 裏磐梯 6/21/2023）
The next day, we went hiking on Goshikinuma trail starting from western side. Photo above shows Aonuma Pond which comes second. Look at its mysterious color which is created by substances flowing into the pond from Mt. Bandai.
次の日は、五色沼自然探勝路を西側から歩きました。写真は、2つ目に現れる青沼です。磐梯山から流れ出る物質により、神秘的な色合いになっています。

Photo above shows Benten-numa Pond which comes forth. It shows beautiful cobalt blue color.

（#Forest tree green frog, Urabandai, June 21, 2023. #モリアオガエル 裏磐梯 6/21/2023）
The final goal for the hiking was Urabandai Visitor Center. Its surrounding swamps are natural habitats for forest green tree frog. Photo above shows a part of the habitat with white spawn hanging from tree branches. Mid-June seems to be the peek spawning season.
ハイキングの終点は、裏磐梯ビジターセンターです。周辺には、モリアオガエルの繁殖する沼があります。写真は、木の枝から下がるその卵（白いあわ）です。6月中旬が産卵のピークのようです。

Regarding forest green tree frog, a small pond at Tenkyokaku garden is also a natural habitat for the frog. We happened to visit the site the next day and checked the pond and also found some spawn hanging from branches as shown in the picture above. A frog itself was seen on a branch near the spawn.
モリアオガエルの繫殖地は、天鏡閣にもありました。次の日、たまたま天鏡閣に行き、庭の池で卵を見付けました（写真）。カエルも、近くの枝に隠れています（写真）。


（#Numajiri Kogen Lodge, Inawashiro, June 22, 2023. #沼尻高原ロッジ 猪苗代 6/22/2023）
We stayed overnight at Numajiri Kogen Lodge shown above on the day. It is located in Numajiri hot spring site in Inawashiro Town.
その晩は、写真の沼尻高原ロッジに泊まりました。猪苗代の沼尻温泉にあります。

Its acidic hydrogen sulfide hot spring water is naturally welling out from the middle of Mt. Adatara. The bath as shown above was excellent.
酸性の硫化水素型硫黄泉は、安達太良山の中腹から湧き出ています（沼尻元湯）。泉質は最高です。

（#Rokuen at Nara Park, Nara, June 10, 2023. #鹿苑 奈良公園 奈良市6/10/2023）
I had a few-day family business to Nara City in Kansai region and in the last day I stopped at Nara Park where many of the historic places are there. Nara is a sister city of Koriyama, Fukushima Prefecture, with the connection of an old story of Uneme or court lady. There are more about this story in the latter part of this blog. Nara Park is famous for its deer which is said to be God’s messenger. Photo above was a view of young deer born in recent days preserved at Rokuen, deer preservation facility. Special opening event to the public is underway during this month. You can get to Nara Park by 30-minute walk on Sanjo Street or 10-minute bus ride from JR Nara Station.
関西の奈良市に行く用事があり、最後の日に数多くの歴史遺産のある奈良公園に寄りました。奈良市は、采女伝説の関係で福島県郡山市と姉妹都市協定を結んでいます。この話は、ブログの最後に載せました。奈良公園は、神の使いとしての鹿で有名です。写真は、公園内の鹿保護施設の鹿苑（ろくえん）の子鹿です。今月特別公開をしています。奈良公園へは、JR奈良駅から三条通り徒歩30分またはバス10分で行けます。

（# Nara-no-Daibutsu at Todaiji, June 10, 2023. #奈良の大仏 東大寺 6/10/2023）
Nara Park is home to World Heritage treasures and structures. One of them is Nara-no-Daibutsu or great Buddha statue of Nara at Todaiji Temple. Photo above shows part of the 14.98m tall huge Buddha statue. It was originally built in 752.
奈良公園内には、世界遺産の宝物や建物が数多くあります。東大寺の奈良の大仏は、その一つです。写真は、高さ14.98mの大仏の一部を写しています。創建は752年です。

Structures at Kofukuji Temple are also World Heritage buildings. Some of them are shown below.
同じく公園内の興福寺の建物も世界遺産です。以下、いくつか紹介します。

（#Uneme Shrine, Nara, June 10, 2023. #采女神社 奈良 6/10/2023）
Lastly, photo above shows Uneme Shrine right next to Sarusawa Pond at the edge of Nara Park.
最後に、写真は奈良公園の入口の猿沢池の畔にある采女神社です。


A description board at the site shown above says that the shrine is an affiliate shrine of Great Kasuga Shrine in the park. Uneme was enshrined in here as Uneme-no-Mikoto. A tragic story of Uneme at the time of the Nara period is written here as she killed herself jumping into Sarusawa Pond. The Uneme came from Asaka, which was the old name for today’s Koriyama. So, this is the connection between the two cities. In both cities Uneme Festival is held in August separately.
神社の説明板によると、この神社は春日大社末社で采女命が祀られています。奈良時代に猿沢池に身を投じた悲話の采女伝説の采女は、当時安積と呼ばれていた今の郡山から来ました（これは説明板には書かれていません）。奈良と郡山は、この縁で結ばれています。毎年各々の市で、采女祭りが8月に行われます。
