Nikkokisuge habitat at Sakura Park, Miharu, May 30, 2018.（三春町 さくらの公園 の ニッコウキスゲ ２０１８年５月３０日。）
Nikkokisuge or Day lily plant, a variety of Hemerocallis, starts to bloom at this time of every year. Large habitats are well known such as Oguninuma Marsh and Oze National Park in Fukushima Prefecture. But there are small habitats here and there in our neighborhood. One of them was Sakura Park in Miharu Town as shown above. The place is famous for its hundreds of cherry trees planted adjacent to Miharu Dam and Lake Sakura.
ニッコウキスゲ（日光黄菅）は、毎年この時期から咲き始めます（今年は早めですが）。福島県内では、雄国沼や尾瀬国立公園などが、大規模の自生地として有名です。しかし、小規模のものは、近所にも見られます。三春町のさくらの公園も、その１つで、写真は本日の様子です。元々、ここは、三春ダムとさくら湖に隣接して、何百本の桜が植えられた場所です。
