Today was the last day of 3-day Oze tour. I visited three waterfalls today, where Bunasaka Spring Falls or Bunasaka-no-shimizu was one of them, which looked as shown above. The waterfall was located along National Road 352 between Ozemiike and Nanairi. It was really a refreshing view with plenty of fresh spring water falling down the roadside natural slope.
今日は、尾瀬の最終日です。３ヶ所の滝を廻り、写真は、そのうちの１つ、橅坂の清水（ぶなさかのしみず）です。尾瀬御池と七入（なないり）の間の、国道３５２沿いにあります。道脇の自然の斜面を豊富な清水が流れてきて、気持ちが良いです。


About 5-minute walk down the road, there was an observatory for another waterfall called Mokake Falls as shown above.
そこから５分ほど国道を歩いて下ると、もう１つの滝、モーカケの滝の展望台への路があります。


A description board above said that it was named after women’s clothes which date back to Heian Period.
説明板には、平安時代に遡る名前の由来が書かれています。


After I left Lake Ozenuma this morning, I first visited Sanpeishita, where Mount Hiuchigatake, a symbol of Oze, Looked as shown above, reflected upside down on the lake.
今朝、尾瀬沼を出て、最初は三平下に寄り、尾瀬のシンボルの燧ケ岳の、逆さ燧が見えました（写真）。


Then I changed direction toward Numayama Pass (1784m) and after passing it I farther descended toward a waterfall called Dakikaeri-no-taki or Dakikaeri Falls. All these mountain trails were part of an old Numata Highway. In old days, people of Hinoemata used to travel by foot all the way to Numata, Gunma Pref. passing mountains of Oze. Dakikaeri Falls was located some 30-minute descent from Numayama rest point and it looked as shown above. (Although the photo is not good, it can give an image of the falls.) The water fell along a large rock creating a unique water pattern on the surface. The only human being I met along the trail down to the falls was a woman climbing up from Nanairi.
そのあと、逆の沼山峠（１７８４ｍ）の方向に進み、峠を越えたあと更に抱返の滝（だきかえりのたき）に降りていきました。この三平下から滝までの路は、旧沼田街道の一部です。昔は、桧枝岐の人は、この道を通り、尾瀬の山を越えて群馬県の沼田まで行きました。抱返の滝（写真）は、沼山休憩所から３０分ほど山を下りた所にあります。（写真はピンぼけですが、滝のイメージはつかめると思います。）滝は、大きな岩を流れて、独特の模様を作っています。滝に行くまで出会ったのは、七入から登ってきた女性１人だけでした。




I happened to find white or pink small flowers I did not know. I checked on a picture book and found they were Komiyama-katabami or Oxalis acetosella as shown above.
道で見た白またはピンクの花を調べたら、コミヤマカタバミという花でした。（写真）

This is the end of 3-day Oze tour report. I uploaded my blog for the three days all at once because Oze area was out of internet coverage.

The second day at Oze National Park was a day of trail trekking through marshes between Onsengoya and Lake Ozenuma. Photo above shows Minezakura cherry trees, a kind of alpine cherry tree, bloom beautiful in the garden of a mountain lodge right beside Lake Ozenuma. Now, the water of Lake Ozenuma flows out via the Nushiri River which then flows into Ozegahara Marsh. The water from Ozegahara Marsh flows through Hiraname and Sanjo Falls and finally makes the Tadami River.
尾瀬の２日目は、温泉小屋と尾瀬沼の間の，湿原巡りでした。写真は、最後にたどりついた尾瀬沼の畔の山小屋の庭に咲くミネザクラ（峰桜、高山性の桜の原種）の花です。なお、尾瀬沼の水は、沼尻川（ぬしりがわ）を通り尾瀬ヶ原に流れ、そこから平滑の滝、三条の滝を通り、只見川に流れていきます。

湿原の路に沿い、景色や花など以下紹介します。


Photo above shows yellow marsh marigold flowers bloom all over the marsh field along the trail.
写真は、木道の両側の湿原に広がるリュウキンカ（立金花）の満開の花です。


Skunk cabbage is a symbol of Oze National Park because the flowers are seen everywhere in the marshes during May. However, some late flowers still bloom during this time of June as shown above.
水芭蕉は、５月に雪解けが進むと、湿原のどこにでも咲くので、尾瀬のシンボルになっています。時期は過ぎていますが、６月になっても遅咲きの花が一部残っています（写真）。


Mount Shibutsu (2228m) is another symbol of Oze and the beautiful landscape can be seen closely from the trail as shown above. (Actually, Oze National Park has four of the best 100 mountains in Japan: Mt. Shibutsu, Mt. Hiuchigatake, Mt. Aizukomagatake, and Mt. Hiragatake.)
至仏山（２２２８ｍ）も尾瀬のシンボルで、湿原の路からその雄姿が間近に見られます（写真）。（尾瀬には、日本１００名山が４つもあります。燧ケ岳、至仏山、会津駒ヶ岳、平ヶ岳です。）


One of early summer alpine flowers, Tateyama gentian could be seen in small clusters as shown above.
初夏の高山植物の、タテヤマリンドウが小さい群れで見られます。


A board shown above told us that Oze National Park was designated as a special version of National Natural Monument in 1960 in order for special preservation.
説明板には、尾瀬が保存のため、１９６０年に特別天然記念物になったことが記されています。

Tonight, I stayed at Ozenuma Hut mountain lodge shown in the beginning.
今晩は、初めの写真にでていた山小屋の尾瀬沼ヒュッテに泊まります。

Three consecutive fine days were expected in Oze National Park area and I decided to go on Oze hiking tour focusing mainly on waterfalls. In this time of year, waterfalls can collect plenty of waters from melting snow on mountains also helped by seasonal rain. Photo above shows Sanjo Falls or Sanjo-no-taki as of today, which is one of best 100 waterfalls in Japan. (Fukushima has three of the best 100 falls: Sanjo Falls (Hinoemata), Otsujigataki Falls (Sukagawa), and Choshigataki Falls (Koriyama)) The water fell 100 meter deep into the valley and the view from the observatory was magnificent. The waterfall was located on the border with Niigata Prefecture and it was source stream of the Tadami River.
尾瀬の周辺の天気予報が、３日間良さそうなので、尾瀬の滝を見に行くことにしました。この時期は、雪解け水が豊富で、梅雨も手伝って水量が増えます。写真は、本日の三条の滝で、日本の滝１００選の１つです。（福島県には、日本の滝１００選が３つあり、他に須賀川の乙字ヶ滝と、郡山の銚子ヶ滝があります。）三条の滝は、落差１００ｍあり、展望台から間近に見る滝は、音と共に迫力満点です。場所は、新潟県との県境にあり、只見川の源流になっています。


I took Aizu Railway train and Aizu Bus to get to Ozemiike entry point. I started walking at 11:30 along Hiuchiura trail and it took me nearly 4 hours to get to the waterfall. (I happened to see a JR East luxurious train, Shikishima, as shown above, as the train stopped at Aizuwakamatsu Sta. where I took Aizu Railway train.)
本日、私は会津鉄道と会津バスで，尾瀬御池に１１時半に着きました。ここから、燧裏（ひうちうら）登山道を歩き、滝まで約４時間かかりました。（会津若松駅で、豪華列車の四季島が入って来るのに、偶然出会いました。（写真））




I found some of early summer alpine flowers such as Diphylleia, and marsh marigold as shown in the pictures above.
登山道わきには、初夏の花の、サンカヨウ（山荷葉）や、リュウキンカ（立金花）など見られます。


With another 30-minute walk, there was second waterfall called Hiraname Falls or Hiraname-no-taki as shown above. This was wide and long (500m) with gentle slope but the water flow was fast.
三条の滝から更に３０分行くと、平滑の滝（ひらなめのたき）があります。これは、幅広く長さも５００ｍあり、緩い傾斜で水は早く流れます。


With another 30-minute walk, I finally got to Onsengoya mountain lodge, which looked as shown above, and where I stayed tonight. The lodge provided a bus with heated natural sulfate spring water.
また３０分歩いて、ようやく本日泊まる山小屋の温泉小屋（写真）に着きました。硫酸塩泉の冷鉱泉を温めた湯に入れます。
