Walking some 10 minutes into the park, there expands mysterious but beautiful scenery with pine trees and strange white rocks as shown above. Some of these rocks have collapsed by the Great East Japan Earthquake on March, 2011. And the rocks are still changing their shapes by weathering.

As one of the main events of the Kofun Festival, a singer & song writer, keyboard player and also a talented entertainer Marikofun performed her song and dance live. It was a really powerful, lovely and also intellectual performance based on kofun knowledge and experiences. Some of the scenes are shown above. The live show was free of charge.

She also composed a song for Oyasuba Kofun. Words and music are done all by herself. It was very good. Here are very short footages above just for getting atmosphere of the stage.

Then I met with this autumn flower called parnassia as shown above. This flower can be seen in several places along the trail from just before the top of Mt. Taishouhata until another top of Mt. Hitaitori. I love this majestic white flower which starts to bloom after most of summer flowers have gone.

I also found the last pink flower of a kind of Dianthus as shown above.
