【２０１５年１月２６日】 スパリゾートハワイアンズ フラガール （Jan. 26, 2015: Hula girls at Spa Resort Hawaiians, Iwaki City, Fukushima）
いわき市特集の最後に、大型リゾート施設 スパリゾートハワイアンズのフラガールを紹介します。
At last, as of Iwaki series, hula dancing girls are shown below. They work for Spa Resort Hawaiians which is the largest hot spring recreation center in Fukushima.
スパリゾートハワイアンズ は、福島一の大型温泉リゾート施設で、場所は、下の地図にあります。無料シャトルバスが、一番近いＪＲ湯本駅からもありますし、何と東京圏の各所からも無料であります。地図は、クリックで、拡大や広域を見ることができます。
Spa Resort Hawaiians is located in Iwakiyumoto Hot Spring as shown in the map below. There are free shuttle bus services between the nearest JR Yumoto Station as well as between several places in Tokyo metropolitan area. You can scale up and down the map by clicking it.
フラガールのステージは、毎日、昼の部（１３：３０から４５分）と、夜の部（２０：３０から６０分）があります。
There are two stages of hula dancing girls every day, daytime (45 min. from 13:30) and night time (60 min. from 20:30).

最後は、５０周年を迎えての、感謝の気持ちです。ＢＩＧ ＭＡＨＡＬＯ とは、ハワイ語で、大変ありがとうの意味です。フラガール達は、震災直後から全国をかけ回り、福島の負けない姿をアピールしてきました。その感謝です。
The last scene shows appreciation to audience for its 50th anniversary. BIG MAHALO means great thanks in Hawaiian word. The hula dancing girls traveled all around Japan since after the big East Japan Earthquake and showed the resilience of Fukushima to all the people they met.

【２０１５年１月２５日】 いわき市の美しい海岸線とフタバスズキリュウ （Jan. 25, 2015: Beautiful coastline of Iwaki City and Futabasaurus suzukii, Fukushima）
本日は、いわき市の海岸線の道路を、南（小名浜）から北（久ノ浜）へ、走りました。また、いわき市の博物館に寄り、市内で発見された恐竜のフタバスズキリュウの骨を見てきました。いわき市特集の２日目です。
Today I pedaled along the coastline of Iwaki City from south (Onahama Port) to the north end (Hisanohama District). And then on the way back I stopped at Iwaki City Museum and met with a large skeleton of a dinosaur found in this city. This article is about the second day in Iwaki City.

小名浜港から北に向かい、少しすると、写真の中之作港という小さな漁港があります。
Pedaling toward north I first found a small fishing port called Nakanosaku Port shown above.
更に北に進むと、塩屋崎灯台（右手奥）が見えてきます。 （塩屋崎灯台 いわき市 2015/1/25）
Pedaling further north I found Shioyazaki Lighthouse in the far right beyond the sea.
更に北の久ノ浜地区に進むと、美しい波立（はったち）海岸があります。（波立海岸 いわき市 2015/1/25） 展望台もあり、写真はそこから撮りました。このように、いわき市の海岸線には、美しい光景がたくさんあります。（一部、防潮堤の新設で海岸が見えない部分もあります。）
At the end of today's coastline travel I arrived at the beautiful Hattachi beach. There was an observation bridge over the National Route 6 and I took the above two pictures. So there are many beautiful scenes along the Iwaki coastline. (Some parts of the coastline are hidden because of newly built tsunami barriers.)
次に、いわき市博物館の、石炭・化石館（写真）に寄りました。ここには、１９６８年いわき市で市内の高校生が発見した、恐竜のフタバスズキリュウの骨の展示があります。恐竜の骨の発見としては、日本では、最大のものと言われます。
Next I stopped at Iwaki City Museum which features coal and fossils as shown above. Here is a display of a large skeleton of a dinosaur called Futabasaurus suzukii which was discovered in 1968 in this city by a high-school student named Suzuki. This was the biggest discovery of ancient dinosaurs in Japan.
内部に、その骨が展示されています。（フタバサウルス スズキイ いわき市 石炭・化石館 2015/1/25） ２００６年に、フタバサウルススズキイという学名が与えられました。恐竜全盛期の白亜紀のものです。館内には、この他に、世界各国の恐竜の骨の展示もあります。
In the first floor of the museum there was a display of large skeleton of Futabasaurus suzukii as shown above. The name was given in 2006. The dinosaur lived in the Cretaceous period in which most large dinosaurs lived. There were also displays of other dinosaurs in the world as well.

【２０１５年１月２４日】 環境水族館 アクアマリンふくしま （Jan. 24, 2015: Aquamarine Fukushima and Spa Resort Hawaiians in Iwaki City, Fukushima）
本日は、太平洋岸 浜通り の南端にあるいわき市の 環境水族館、アクアマリンふくしま を訪ねました。いわき駅まで、ＪＲ線で輪行し、そこからは自転車で行きました。いわき市特集の最初です。
Today I visited Aquamarine Fukushima which declared itself as an environmental aquarium. It is located in Iwaki City of Fukushima which lies in the most southern part of Hamadori region facing the Pacific Ocean. I packed my bike and took JR Line to Iwaki Station and then pedaled to the aquarium. This article is the first part of Iwaki series.

アクアマリンふくしま は、いわき市 小名浜港 にあり、写真はその外観です。館内の表示は、全て英文併記です。特徴は、できるだけ自然に近い環境での展示です。目玉は、潮目の海で、福島沖で、南からの黒潮と北からの親潮がぶつかる所で、魚の大群が現れるのを再現しています。
Aquamarine Fukushima is located in Onahama Port of Iwaki City. Above photo shows its view from outside. Inside the aquarium all the description were written also in English. It features very natural display close to the real environment. The highlight is the reproduction of meeting of the both Oyashio Current from the south and Kuroshio Current from the north off the coast of Fukushima. A very large number of fish swim in a group at the site.

Iwaki City has an old hot spring called Iwakiyumoto Onsen which was discovered 1200 years ago. The hot spring water had been heated by the friction of land plates deep under the sea and this is sulfur spring. Spa Resort Hawaiians is a large hot spring recreation center which makes full use of this abundant hot spring source. The location is on the map and large hotels such as shown in the above picture stand adjacent to it. They are also ready to welcome foreign tourists.
